In our pursuit for a mindful life, many of us have gotten very serious.  We study books and teachings, we go to long retreats and endure a focused intensity to “get better”.  I have been teaching meditation and helping Americans live in joy for more than 30 years… building an inner life is serious, but we can do it with playfulness and joy!  Joyful mindfulness is a practice we can do every day bringing us calm, blissful qualities known as sukha.  This brings us to an easiness around humor and lightheartedness, thus allowing us to connect with people and what’s important easily.  Joy helps us not take ourselves or our surroundings so seriously, and when we can be playful and easy, we begin to connect with others in a non ego-based way that adds lots of love.  In addition to our formal loving-kindness practice, practicing Joyful Mindfulness has helped many people create a strong meditation practice that makes their lives better.

Benefits:

  • Reduced stress, anxiety, worry and depression
  • Healing and enhancing relationships with others
  • Gaining a sense of empowerment over challenging issues in your life
  • Insights into your life purpose
  • Awakening to the blessings of the present moment
  • Attaining unshakable inner peace
