The year 2020 brought the world into the COVID-19 pandemic and an early March quarantine order here in Central Pennsylvania. The Pathways and Portals to Healing with Art exhibit represents an opportunity I took to tackle an art project that I call my “Corona Series”. Intuition told me to do art differently; get a new direction, go on a path to another place, a healing space. Nature hikes with trusted friends also provided safe room to breathe and gain artistic inspiration. My art during this time tended to indicate pathways and portals by its very nature. This was my way to distance from the daily news and find peace and healing through a fresh journey with a brush, paper, a bit of paint and perhaps some glue, with some whimsy added in.
