Native American-Style Flutes are simple and intuitive instruments used for connecting deeply to the self and spirit. They are widely used for a variety of reasons including self-expression, during prayer and mindfulness practices and for personal growth.
Native Style flutes make a great addition to all healing modalities including massage, Reiki, energy work, reflexology, and sound healing.
During this class you will:
~Get familiar with your flute
~Learn how to hold your flute & catch bad playing habits
~Play the pentatonic scale
~Learn techniques like ‘tonguing’ and ‘jumping notes’ and more!
~Learn practice techniques
~Create your very own melodies
~Journey to connect with your flute
~Exchange flute energy with the intention of healing
~Experience playing in/with/for nature (weather permitting)
~1×1 time and ongoing support
~Manual included
Bring your own Native American Style Flute, or borrow one. If you don’t have a flute and would like to join us, Heather will have some flutes to borrow for the class.
Flutes will be available for purchase. (Availability fluctuates, please contact Heather for current options)

Heather’s sound journey began with a deep connection to the Native American-style flute after her father passed in December of 2017. The grief, pain, and heartache within her longed to be expressed but human words fell short. Heather found her expression pouring out through the flute when she played in nature with the birds, trees, waters, rocks, and land. It was through this sacred connection where she felt the healing power of sound in a whole new light.
Heather is a Reiki Master and has studied many modalities through Etheric Connection’s 9-month Energy Practitioner training. In 2021 Heather studied with Lana Ryder of Soundwise School of Harmonic Therapy for six months, earning a certificate as a Sound Healing Practitioner. She has since grown her connection with many instruments, sensing spirit work through the frequencies and vibrations. In addition to being a Sound Practitioner, Heather is also a Usui Reiki Master Teacher, Angelic Light Weaving Master, Axialtonal Alignment Practitioner, and practices Andean Shaman traditions.
Heather has found through heart-centered connections, self-reflection, and cultivating love of self, we are capable of reaching states of inner peace. It is within the space of self-acceptance and the love that we are that we are shining the brightest. Then our light can ripple out to the world, sending vibrations of love and peace to all that is around us.
