This 16 hour intensive class is for anyone interested in learning how to use the healing power of sound, voice and music whether personally or professionally, as a stand-alone practice or integratively with other modalities. Tuition includes plenty of hands-on practice, use of all instruments, 50 page original student manual, certificate of completion and one 1-hour follow up consultation with the instructor. No music training or experience necessary. Recommended for reiki and other energy therapists, massage and other bodyworkers, yoga instructors, acupuncturists, reflexologists, health and life coaches, estheticians, psychologists, hospice workers and any healthcare professional.
Students will be given information and instruction in learning basic skills to incorporate sound therapy in an established healing practice either as a single modality or integrating with other modalities. Course content includes:
Essential history of sound healing throughout the ages
The art and science of sound therapy – facts, myths and opinions
Ongoing current research and documentation of efficacy of sound therapy
Basic terminology and principles of sound therapy
Overview of the human energy field, layers of the aura, chakras and meridians
Practical application and fundamental protocol and precautions using:
Crystal singing bowls, pyramid and tuning fork
Metal singing bowls, tuning forks
Voice toning, mantras and language of light
Rattles, shakers, chimes and bells
Sound Therapist Code of Ethics
Group Sound Immersion
Accepting the first 8 students to register by February 28th. Prerequisite reading and short assignment will be sent out on March 2 to be completed before admittance to class.

Instructor: Teaching, practicing and mentoring sound healing for many years, Lana Ryder is also a former teacher at area massage schools, guest lecturer at numerous colleges, health expos, hospitals and wellness events, author, holistic health center founder and director, worship director and vocalist. She has multiple certifications in sound therapy from some of the best known sound instructors, is a certified holistic health coach and licensed massage and energy therapist. In addition to this Sound Therapy course, she is also creator of ReikiSound and ReikiVoice curriculum and manuals. She has worked with sound, voice and music as ministry for over 40 years.
